  Smoky Mountain Cottages

This project was a cluster of log cabins blended into a ridge of low vegetation. The challenge was to hide the automobiles in order to obtain a rural setting and to replicate elements of the adjacent national park designs with heavy timber details and massive stone bases. With a weaving one way drive and indigenous landscaping this was accomplished as one passes a large entry waterfall.

The detail of the log construction were enhanced with a contemporary craftsmanship while grouping the buildings into enclosing spatial clusters.
