This site, a ridge promontory of 270 degrees, captures dramatic distant mountain and valley views. The tree-from concrete columns create an interior forest in combination with a canopy of folded plate roofs held up by heavy timer beams. The interior of the roof is covered with wormy chestnut siding. Layered Tennessee Crab Orchard stone forms the towering fireplace and edges interior planters and connecting base on the exterior. The dominant front entry hall welcomes and then transitions to an explosion of views from the dining, living, and kitchen areas.
